Brett’s Kuranda Tours (now trading as Kuranda Outback Tours) runs small group day tours from Port Douglas to Kuranda village, combining two of North Queensland’s most iconic experiences: the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway and the Kuranda Scenic Railway. Maximum 12 guests, with hotel pickup included.
Two departure options are available — choose based on how you want to spend your day.

Option 1 – Early Departure (8:00am)
Scenic Train up to Kuranda, Skyrail back down.
- Pickup from Port Douglas at 8:00am
- Transfer to Freshwater Station to board the heritage-listed Kuranda Scenic Railway
- Wind through rainforest, past waterfalls and Barron Gorge to Kuranda
- Approx. 2 hours free time in Kuranda village — markets, galleries, cafés (own expense)
- Return via Skyrail Rainforest Cableway with two mid-station rainforest stops
- Sunset stop at Palm Cove — walk the esplanade, drinks by the beach (own expense)
- Return to Port Douglas approx. 4:30pm
Option 2 – Late Departure (11:00am)
Skyrail up to Kuranda, Scenic Train back down.
- Pickup from Port Douglas at 11:00am
- Board Skyrail Rainforest Cableway — glide above the canopy with two scenic stops
- Approx. 2 hours free time in Kuranda village
- Return via Kuranda Scenic Railway through Barron Gorge to Freshwater Station
- Sunset stop at Palm Cove
- Return to Port Douglas approx. 6:30pm
