Four Mile Beach Fun

Everybody loves a family beach day – especially when the beach is just 150m from your accommodation at Cayman Villas! Think sunshine, sand, salt water and stunning views over the pristine ocean and mountains covered in lush rainforest. If simply kicking back and soaking up the sun is not enough, you can hire inflatables, stand up paddleboards and more. Ask our friendly staff about borrowing our beach accessories including buckets, spades and boogie boards.

Feeling hungry? The best spot for lunch is the Port Douglas Surf Club, located just moments from the sandy beach with killer views, a fantastic kids menu and friendly smiles. Don’t forget to grab a refreshing icy treat from the beach buggy that drives up and down the beach.

Wildlife Habitat

Forget glass confinements and locked up cages! The Port Douglas Wildlife Habitat is all about getting in touch with nature and putting you INSIDE the Zoo! This unique interactive Wildlife experience has four open environments that allow guests and wildlife to mingle in a spacious natural setting.

Bally Hooley Steam Railway

Choo Choo! All aboard the Bally Hooley! This classic steam train runs on most Sundays in Port Douglas between Marina Mirage Station and St Crispin’s Station. The train was originally operated by Mossman Mill to haul sugar through the cane fields, but it is now operated by a group of dedicated volunteers. The scenic round trip takes about an hour and passes through some of the Port Douglas’ golf courses, mangroves and resorts. Try your luck at spotting a crocodile in the tidal lake at St. Crispin’s!

Make a day of it and jump on and off at the various spots for coffee, a swim or a bite to eat. The train operates more frequently during busy periods, ask the friendly staff at Cayman Villas for more information.


Moonlight Cinema

From June to October, the gardens at QT Resort are transformed to a tropical Moonlight Cinema. The film schedule boasts a multitude of movies to entertain audiences of all ages – from family classics to adventure packed actions, chick’s flicks to sci-fi, hilarious comedies and more. You can satisfy your cravings with all your favourite movie time snacks, mouth-watering hot food and a fully licensed bar on-site.
