Dining Around the World in Port Douglas

FOODIE culture has been booming year-round in tropical haven Port Douglas, and we are here to make sure you know all the ins and outs of ‘dining around the world’ while you’re checking out this awesome coastal town.

Although Far North Queensland is recognised as home to the ancient Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef, us locals will proudly say that our line up of restaurants that offer extraordinary international cuisines is impressive – and we mean, really impressive.

This guide has you covered for everything tasty, from Modern Australian to Japanese. Let’s get into it!

Modern Australian

An open-aired elegant restaurant located in the heart of Macrossan Street only a short stroll from Four Mile Beach. Choose from an array of sophisticated specialty dishes and finish with a mouth watering coconut and Malibu panna cotta.

Sea Bean Tapas

Spoil yourself to a contemporary Spanish tapas banquet and refreshing sangria while watching the sun set over the mountains in this stunning laid back venue.

As one of Port’s few hidden gems, Zipangu serves up some of the finest fresh sashimi, sushi and gyoza. You won’t go wrong with some black sesame ice-cream for dessert.

Jade Inn

An outstanding diner for remarkable Chinese dishes served with a smile every time. Try the sensational roast duck, sizzling beef or tangy lemon chicken just to name a few – mmm, delish.

Without a doubt, this traditional Thai will be some of the best you’ve ever tried. The green curry is splendid and so is the succulent chicken satay. Yum!

This place is an absolute must for all of our taco and nacho lovers! Mexican dishes with a tropical twist – how incredible does grilled haloumi tacos with mango and toasted coconut sound?

Royal Spice

We all love an amazing Indian dinner feast and this place is sure to impress! Dine in for some unbelievably flavoursome lamb rogan josh, a spicy goat masala or a signature seafood dish.
