The iconic Clink Theatre is the entertainment precinct of Port Douglas showcasing local, international and Australian artists.
This boutique theatre and cabaret room was officially opened in 1992 and has been an entertainment hot spot for locals and visitors alike with a variety of intimate performances including plays, concerts, stand-up comedy and everything in between.
The majestic auditorium has all the features with full theatre accouterments, 120 tiered seating, a back stage, dressing room, wardrobe, sets area, foyer, box office and a nice little bar.
The Clink building itself has a rich history behind it, originally being the old Mossman courthouse. That’s right, it was located in Mossman and in 1991 transported to Port Douglas to become the much-loved Clink Theatre!
A small group of locals had a dream for a place where they could let their creativity flow and perform for others. With dedication and hard work from our Port Douglas community, dreams turned into reality with a wonderful building, full of history, life and entertainment!
It truly is one of a kind and is here ready and waiting for you to visit.
